Tim and Wendy Owen

Prior to becoming husband and wife and business partners, Tim and Wendy were competitors. The rest is history. They now are a dynamic and unbeatable team.

As a past Fortune 500 executive and Professional Sales Trainer, Tim ran an HMO in Jacksonville, Florida, owned by two of the largest hospitals. Tim is a certified underwriter, legislative delegate, and professional negotiator and has been in the business since 1983.

Wendy ran a premier insurance agency in Orlando Florida, specializing in large group cases. She also underwrites, negotiates and has been a revered leader since 1988. Wendy oversees the O&A administrative staff and if you ask her what her passion is, she will tell you serving clients.

The O&A T.E.A.M.

A cliché that has stood the test of time: Together Everyone Achieves More is the corporate O&A philosophy. We believe in hiring positive attitudes and aptitude. Every team member has an extensive and energetic level of experience. Our licensed employees must meet the O&A Gold Standards of Continued Education and deliver only their best. We all believe in serving out of passion, not profit.

News
The Healthcare debate continues and it appears that President Obama is on every news station asking his legislators to get the job done now.

We thought that Congress was going to have an opportunity to work through the details and come out the other end with a new reform bill, however the old bill continues to be pressed into the President's agenda.

We are in Washington this week meeting with the committees as we make strong recommendations for certain features within the bill.  Our focus is on lowering cost, while including other aspects such as the uninsured, the unemployed and many other important issues.

We feel the proper way for Washington to decide on reform is through collaboration with the stake holders.  If the stake holders say they cannot afford to lower cost, then Washington has no option than to legislate cost containment laws.

We will keep you posted of updates as concrete legislation floats to the top.

In the mean time, if you have ideas or questions on healthcare reform, please call Tim personally. And as always, please let our leaders know what you think. It really does make a difference!
