The Healthcare debate continues and it appears that President Obama is on every news station asking his legislators to get the job done now.
We thought that Congress was going to have an opportunity to work through the details and come out the other end with a new reform bill, however the old bill continues to be pressed into the President's agenda.
We are in Washington this week meeting with the committees as we make strong recommendations for certain features within the bill. Our focus is on lowering cost, while including other aspects such as the uninsured, the unemployed and many other important issues.
We feel the proper way for Washington to decide on reform is through collaboration with the stake holders. If the stake holders say they cannot afford to lower cost, then Washington has no option than to legislate cost containment laws.
We will keep you posted of updates as concrete legislation floats to the top.
